What you can link to
- Your profile: type the username, with or without the @, or paste your profile link.
- A post or Reel: in the app, tap Share, then Copy link, and paste it above.
- Any other public Instagram page that starts with
instagram.com.
The generator cleans the link up for you: it adds https://, removes the share-tracking part at the end, and shows the exact address the code will open. Scan the preview with your phone before you download.
A standard QR code, not an Instagram one
Instagram's app can make its own QR code for your profile. This is different: it is an ordinary QR code containing a link to instagram.com. Any phone camera can read it, and it opens in the Instagram app if it is installed or in the browser if not. Because it is a standard code, you choose the colors, download SVG for sharp print, and use it anywhere.
Where to use it
- Business cards and email signatures.
- Store displays, counters and shop windows.
- Packaging, labels and inserts, so customers can find your latest products.
- Events and markets, on banners and stall signs.
- Printed marketing such as flyers and posters.
- Creator merchandise, like stickers, prints and tags.
Add a line such as "Follow us on Instagram" so people know what the code does. For signs and posters, the size calculator tells you how big to print it.
If your username might change
Instagram links follow your username, so renaming the account breaks every printed code that points to the old one. If that is a risk, or you want to count scans, use a dynamic QR code and update where it points instead. For your website or link-in-bio page, use the website QR code generator.
