Static QR codes

Static codes are generated entirely in your browser. The content you enter is never sent to our servers. When you download a static code we count only its type (such as Link or Wi-Fi) and the file format, to see how the generator is used.

Accounts

When you register we store your email address and a hashed password. We use your email to operate your account and billing, and to send occasional tips about your account, such as when your QR code starts getting scans. Every tips email has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or share your email. Account emails, such as password reset links, are delivered through our email provider, SMTP2GO. The sign-in, sign-up and password reset forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated abuse; Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that check.

Dynamic QR code scans

When someone scans a dynamic code we record the time, device type, operating system, browser, referring site, country (when provided by our hosting network), and a hash of the IP address combined with the date. The raw IP address is not stored. This information is shown to the code owner in aggregate.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment process.

Cookies and analytics

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit this site and which pages they use; it sets its own cookies and sends usage data to Google, whose privacy policy applies to that data. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can delete your codes at any time from the dashboard. To delete your account entirely, email [email protected] from the email address on your account.
