How it works
Google gives every business profile a short link that opens the review form directly. Put that link in a QR code and customers can leave a review in a few taps, while they are still thinking about their visit, instead of searching for your business later.
The code is generated in your browser. It is a standard static QR code: it never expires and does not depend on this site. It keeps working for as long as Google keeps your review link working. If Google ever changes or retires that link, a static code cannot be edited, and you would need to print a new one.
How to find your Google review link
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
- Search for your business on Google or open Google Maps. Your profile management panel appears at the top of the results.
- Choose Ask for reviews (it may say Get more reviews or Share review form) and copy the link. It usually looks like
https://g.page/r/.../review. - Paste it above and scan the preview with your phone to check it opens your review form.
A link to your business on Google Maps also works, but customers then have to find the review button themselves, so the review link is the better choice.
Where to use it
- Counters and tables in restaurants, cafes, salons and shops.
- Receipts, invoices and packing slips, so the request arrives with the purchase.
- Review cards handed out after an appointment or a job well done.
- Takeaway bags, menus and delivery boxes.
- Email signatures and thank-you pages, where a plain link also works.
Printing and scanning tips
- Add a short prompt such as "Enjoyed your visit? Scan to leave us a review". A code on its own gets far fewer scans.
- Size it for the distance. About 3 to 4 cm (1.5 in) wide works on a table card; a sign on the wall needs more. The QR code size calculator gives an exact size.
- Download SVG for print so the code stays sharp, and keep the white margin around it.
- Ask everyone. Google's rules do not allow rewards for reviews or asking only happy customers, so keep the wording neutral.
Want to change the link later?
If you might move to a new Google profile, run several locations, or want to see how many people scan the code, use a dynamic QR code instead. It holds a short link you can point anywhere from your dashboard, and it counts scans. Your first dynamic code is free; Pro adds unlimited codes and full analytics from $4/month.
Want to check an existing code before you reprint it? The QR code scanner shows exactly which link it contains.
